Firdous meets fire victims at Shalla Kadal

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 06: The Chairperson of State Commission for Women and Member Legislative Assembly, Habba Kadal, Shamim Firdous today visited various areas of her constituency including Shalla Kadal and Karfali Mohalla where some residential houses were recently gutted in fire.
She expressed her sympathy with fire victims and assured them that all possible assistance would be provided to them.
During her tour, the Chairperson also visited Kani Kadal, Zaldagar, Syed Ali Akbar, Khar Zaman Khan, Drabyar, Prashyar and Dal Hassanyar to review the pace of work on these lanes and by lanes. She said that a Community Centre would be constructed for the convenience of the people of Khar Zaman Khan area. Besides this a power transformer has been installed at Drabyar area to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the area.
Shamim Firdous was accompanied by senior officers including Tehsildar Srinagar, Executive Engineers of PHE, R&B, PDD and Srinagar Municipal Corporation. She exhorted upon the officers to work with zeal and dedication for the betterment and welfare of the people.
A number of deputations met the MLA and apprised her with the problems being faced by them. She assured them that their genuine demands would be redressed on priority basis. She said that National Conference led coalition government is committed to provide better basic amenities to the people.
