Guv, CM greet people on Guru Ravi Das’s birthday

Jammu, Feb 06: Governor, N N Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have greeted people on the birthday of Guru Ravi Das Ji wishing them happiness and well-being.
In a message, the Governor described Guru Ravi Dass as a great social reformer whose teachings of peace, harmony, love and compassion have influenced millions of people and continue to inspire successive generations to work for a harmonious society based on equality and social justice.
He said that Guru Ji tirelessly strived to ameliorate the lot of the people, especially the downtrodden and under-privileged sections of the society.
The Governor prayed for sustained peace, progress and prosperity in the state.
In his message issued here today, the Chief Minster said that the best ways to pay tributes to Guru Ji is to work jointly and wholeheartedly for social justice, equitable and inclusive development of all sections of the society and all areas of the state.
Omar prayed for peace and prosperity for the state and the country.
