Three drug peddlers arrested

Srinagar, Feb 06: Police in Budgam arrested three drug-peddlers from Beerwah today and recovered about 700 grams of Charas from their possession, police spokesman said.
He identified the arrested persons as Arshad Ahmad, son of Mohammad Amin; Mohammad Yaseen Bhat, son of Mohammad Ibrahim, residents of Reshipora, and Gulzar Ahmad Ganaie, son-in-law of Abdul Ahad Ganaie, a resident of Utligam, Beerwah.
The trio was arrested while they were transporting a consignment of 700 grams of charas, some raw material and accessories, spokesman said. He said a case with FIR 34/2012 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Budgam.
